Visiting the website
The website and the live map come from our own server. To deliver the pages to your browser, the server processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the requested address and the date and time. It does not keep access logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
No cookies, no tracking
We use no cookies and no analytics or advertising services. Fonts, images and scripts come from our server only; visiting the site sends no data to third parties. The version and stars of our GitHub repository at the top left are fetched by our server; your browser does not contact GitHub for them.
Contact form and email
If you write to us using the contact form or by email, we process your email address, the chosen topic and your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns an application or your participation on the server, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The form sends your details as an email to our mailbox info@mcterranova.com; the server itself does not store them. To protect the form against mass abuse, it keeps your IP address in memory for at most one hour to count how many messages come from it. Our mailbox is run by an email provider that stores the messages on our behalf. We delete requests once they are dealt with, unless legal retention periods apply.
Linked services
Links to Discord, GitHub, Modrinth and other services lead to their own sites. Only once you open them do these providers process data under their own privacy policies. When your launcher installs our modpack, it fetches the included mods directly from Modrinth.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Write to us at info@mcterranova.com.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
